Driven by an electric motor at standard industrial speeds (2900 rpm at 50Hz / 3500 rpm at 60Hz), the pump shaft spins the dynamic impeller to draw fluid horizontally along the axial suction center. Centrifugal acceleration propels the liquid outward into the volute casing, smoothly converting kinetic velocity into pressurized discharge. The close-coupled design eliminates shaft coupling alignment issues, reducing vibration and extending mechanical seal service life.

01 Required Flow Rate (Q): Determine the maximum and minimum flow your system demands. The FS series covers 3.5 to 1,200 m³/h. Select a pump that operates at or near its Best Efficiency Point (BEP) at your design flow — running continuously below 50% of BEP causes recirculation, cavitation, and premature seal failure.
02 Total Dynamic Head (TDH): Calculate total head including static elevation, friction loss in piping and fittings, and required terminal pressure. The FS series delivers heads up to 160m. For heads exceeding 160m, consider our VS multistage pump series.
